Full description of the rig:

This is a professional 4K camera rig that is completely mobile. This rig is ideal for documentary filmmaking, ENG, weddings, event videography, and corporate/industrial/educational programs. The DVX features an integrated 13x servo-zoom lens, 4/3 MOS sensor, 4K/UHD/FHD recording up to 120 FPS, HDMI output with support for 10-bit 4:2:2, dedicated buttons for waveform/zebra/focus assist, a dual-encoding system, log recording, the ability to directly transfer media to an external hard drive, two XLR microphone preamps, and an array of other professional features not commonly found on handheld interchangeable-lens cameras.

After looking at a few different baseplates, I concluded that the best long-format baseplate for the DVX200 is the SHAPE FS7M2. This baseplate features a V-lock quick release that allows you quickly mount and unmount the camera to a tripod. It comes with a removable velcro shoulder pad that lets you rest the camera on your shoulder. The plate has standard ARRI rosettes for mounting handles, and can accept 15mm rods to mount a matte box, monitor, and other accessories.

With the included VariZoom controllers, you have remote focus and zoom control. These controllers are a godsend for precise adjustments. Never again introduce instability to your shot by making adjustments on the camera itself.

The stock Panasonic battery has a 5900mAh capacity, offering a continuous shooting time of about 3 hours, 20 minutes. I purchased an IDX System Technology ultra high-capacity battery (9600mAh), which will provide an additional 5 hours, 25 minutes of shooting time. Both batteries have a handy LED power gauge that reports the battery status when outside of the camera. The IDX battery incorporates X-Tap and USB ports for powering camera accessories and USB devices.
