Polaroid SLR 680 Autofocus Land camera

This is Polaroid’s final version of the groundbreaking SX-70 instant folding camera.

The SLR 680 is the holy grail of folding Polaroid cameras. While the SX-70 was developed in the 1970s, the SLR 680 came along in the 1980s. It was the first and is still the only folding SLR camera to both shoot 600 film, have a built-in flash and an autofocusing mechanism.

Built-in electronic flash (1/3000 of a second) - powered by film pack battery, recharges in 3 seconds, ready light, designed for indoor and outdoor use, range 10.4 inches to 14 feet

Autofocus system - close-focuses to 10.4 inches, override switch with manual focus wheel. The autofocus mechanism uses sonar waves that focus on the subject, helping you get crisp photos every time.

Through-the-lens preview viewing allows for accurate composition

Uses Polaroid 600 color film, film packs widely available on Amazon and elsewhere on the internet

Automatic variable speed/aperture shutter system - speed range from 1/180 of a second to 5 seconds, aperture from f/8 to f/90

Lighten/darken control and tripod socket

Original neck strap and instruction manual included

Condition is excellent except for the faux leather trim which shows age related cracks and discoloration. Replacement trim is available for about $25 on retrospect.com - Polaroid accessories
